90TH PANZERGRENADIER DIVISION SARDINIEN CAP SHIELD

Reproduction of the Sardinienschild, the official pin coined by the 90th Panzergrenadier Division of the Wehrmacht and worn on the left side of the caps of the unit. The shield is a perfect copy of high quality from original one and manufactured in the United Kingdom. Dimensions approximately 17×27 mm.

The 90th Panzergranadier Division was formed in Sardinia from the ashes of the 90th Leichte Afrika-Division destroyed in May 1943 in Tunisia. At the time of the constitution took the name of Division Sardinien but with the 8th September the unit will change its name and will fall back to Corsica and then disembark in Piombino and take part in the whole campaign of Italy in the main battles and then surrender the April 28, 1945 on Lago di Garda.
