KONDOR LEGION WOUND BADGE (Verwundetenabzeichen)

Reproduction high-quality wound badge in silver color grade for the volunteer of the Spain Civil War, 1936-1939, in the Kondor Legion, the German expeditionary force, and created by Adolf Hitler on May 22, 1939. The decoration constituted a level acquired for the September 1939 version.

Criteria for award: 


  • Black: one or two injuries as a result of combat action. 

  • Silver: three or four injured as a result of combat action. In the case of a wound that would cause the loss of a hand, a foot, an eye or deafness. 

  • Gold: five or more injured as a result of combat action. In the event of death or total disability type total disability, blindness, loss of manhood.
