WOUND BADGE BLACK 1957 (Verwundetenabzeichen)

Reproduction of the 1957 wound badge in black rank of the Bundeswehr and awarded to all wounded soldier.

Criteria for award: 

• Black: one or two injuries as a result of combat action. 
• Silver: three or four injured as a result of combat action. In the case of a wound that would cause the loss of a hand, a foot, an eye or deafness. 
• Gold: five or more injured as a result of combat action. In the event of death or total disability type total disability, blindness, loss of manhood. 

The freezing was the only condition of non-combat soldier attributed to the contribution.
