WOUND BADGE BLACK (Verwundetenabzeichen)

 Reproduction high-quality wound badge in silver color grade, granted to all members of the Wehrmacht, starting from September 1, 1939, were injured. Based on the model dating back to 1918 was awarded to members of the Heer, Luftwaffe, and Waffen SS Kriegsmarine.

Criteria for award: 

• Black: one or two injuries as a result of combat action. 




• Silver: three or four injured as a result of combat action. In the case of a wound that would cause the loss of a hand, a foot, an eye or deafness. 




• Gold: five or more injured as a result of combat action. In the event of death or total disability type total disability, blindness, loss of manhood. 

The freezing was the only condition of non-combat soldier attributed to the contribution.
