WW2 German wood pole M31 shelter quarter – zeltbahn M31

TENT POLE

 Wooden pole part of the set supplied with the zeltbahn M31 and which was composed of the pole section plus two metal pegs with cord and which constituted the individual shelter or collective when joined together with other sheets. In use in the German army during the Second World War, the pole with the other elements were kept inside a special bag and placed in the rolled shelter. This pole originates from post-war military surplus which however has the features of that used in the German army.
